Terms of Service

By using Foretell you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Foretell is a prediction market platform where users stake virtual tokens on the outcomes of real-world events. All tokens are virtual and carry no monetary value.

2. Risk disclaimer

Predictions involve uncertainty. You may lose all tokens staked on a given market. Past performance on the leaderboard does not guarantee future results. Foretell is not a gambling, betting, or financial trading platform. No real money is wagered or awarded.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Manipulate markets, collude with other users, or create misleading markets (admin-only feature).
  • Use automated scripts or bots to place predictions.
  • Attempt to exploit bugs rather than reporting them.
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity.

5. Market resolution

Markets are resolved by Foretell administrators based on publicly verifiable information (e.g. official results, reputable news sources). Resolution decisions are final. In rare cases where a market cannot be fairly resolved, it may be cancelled and all staked tokens refunded.

6. Tokens

  • Tokens are virtual currency with no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for real money.
  • We may adjust token balances to correct errors or prevent abuse.
  • Tokens cannot be purchased, redeemed, or exchanged for any real-world value.
  • Initial token grants and payouts are determined by the parimutuel pool mechanics described in the platform.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

8. Limitation of liability

Foretell is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. We are not liable for any loss of virtual tokens, service interruptions, or data loss to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Foretell after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
